Your Experience Level: What's Changing and Why
Time2Staff is replacing "Experience Months" with a new Experience Level system.
Why the change?
Counting months in a role doesn't tell the full story. Someone with 6 months of hands-on, high-pressure experience can easily be more skilled than someone with 3 years of light, occasional shifts. Experience Level lets you describe your actual skill — not just time worked.
How it works
1. Choose your job title Select your main role (e.g. Chef, Bartender, Waiter) and the specific position that matches your background.
2. Set your Experience Level For each role, choose the level that best reflects how you perform in a real shift:
No experience – I haven't worked in this role before.
Beginner – I can help with simple tasks, but I still need guidance.
Intermediate – I can handle regular tasks on my own.
Experienced – I work independently and feel confident in busy shifts.
Expert
You can set this during onboarding or profile setup, and update it whenever your skills change.
How your level stays accurate
After each completed shift, the customer is asked to confirm your level or suggest an adjustment up or down. This keeps levels honest and up to date, without you needing to do anything extra.
What this means for you
Your profile reflects your real ability, not just time on the job.
You control your starting level and can update it anytime.
Customer feedback helps keep it accurate over time.
